Brownwood High School Announces their 2025 Homecoming Court

Brownwood High School (BHS) has announced their 2025 Homecoming Court. Queen nominees are Kynlie Lewis, Kailee Bessent, Emory May, and Nixon Johnson. King nominees are Carson Noe, Kyle Recolizado, Judson Coalson, and Tyler Nelson. The Homecoming Court also includes Freshmen Stone Bishop (Baron) and Jaycee Morton (Baroness), Sophomores Riggs Gray (Duke) and Jentry Coalson (Duchess), and Juniors Isaac Gonzales (Prince) and Ariana Staggs (Princess).

The Homecoming Court will be introduced during a presentation at 7:00 p.m. before the football game on Friday, September 26, as the Lions host the China Spring Cougars at Gordon Wood Stadium.

BHS HOMECOMING QUEEN NOMINEES:

Kynlie Lewis
Kynlie is the daughter of Logan and Amber Lewis. Kynlie is the Captain of the Varsity Cheer Team and a member of Varsity Soccer as well as a proud member of the National Honor Society. Among her many accomplishments, she has been recognized as a two-time UCA All-American Cheerleader. In soccer, she earned the titles of Offensive Newcomer of the Year and Academic All-District. When asked about the most influential people in her life, Kynlie shared that it is her parents, who have always shown her the importance of hard work, kindness, and perseverance. After high school, she plans to attend Texas A&M University, where she will major in Nursing with the dream of becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner. Her advice to underclassmen: "High School goes by quickly, so take it all in and cherish every moment." 

Kailee Bessent
Kailee is the daughter of Mark and Kara Bessent. Kailee serves as the Captain of the BHS Lionettes, is the President of the Lion Varsity Players, a member of the A Capella Choir, and is also active in the National Honor Society. Her achievements include being named UIL Outstanding Performer and All-Star Cast member in theater, an ADTS All-American Dancer and Outstanding Leader for Drill Team, and earning recognition in choir as part of the All-Region Choir. When asked about the most influential person in her life, Kailee shared her big sister, Hannah, who has always been supportive and a strong influence in her faith. After high school, she plans to attend Hardin-Simmons University, where she will double major in Communication Sciences and Disorders and Worship Leadership. Her advice to underclassmen: "Keep up with your work – you will pass if you turn things in on time and stay on task." 

Emory May
Emory is the daughter of Zach and Adriane May. Emory is involved in Varsity Tennis, and serves as the Vice President of the National Honor Society, Treasurer of the Student Council, and Secretary for HOSA. Her achievements include competing at State for HOSA, earning All-Region Choir honors, and qualifying for State UIL Solo & Ensemble. When asked about the most influential person in her life, Emory shared her faith in Jesus, who gets her through every trial and inspires her to strive to live with kindness and integrity in everything she does. After high school, she plans to pursue a degree in Biomedical Science with aspirations of becoming a veterinarian. Her advice to underclassmen: "Soak up every moment and don't dwell on the negatives – things are what you make them."

Nixon Johnson
Nixon Johnson is the daughter of JD and Sara Jackson. Nixon is involved in Varsity Soccer, the BHS Lionettes, and is a member of the National Honor Society. Her achievements include being recognized as a two-time All-American Dancer, earning First Team All-District, Academic All-District, and Honorable Mention honors for soccer. When asked about the most influential person in her life, Nixon shared it is her older sister, who inspired her through determination to never give up and has always been her biggest role model. After high school, she plans to attend the L&L Beauty Institute to earn her esthetician license. Her advice to underclassmen: "Find your people and surround yourself with friends who lift you up and create a supportive circle."

BHS HOMECOMING KING NOMINEES:

Carson Noe
Carson is the son of Matt and Andrea Noe. Carson is involved in Varsity Football, Basketball, and the Coggin Youth Group. His accomplishments include serving as the Captain of the football team, being a three-year varsity starter, and earning recognition as a two-time First Team All-District Wide Receiver. When asked about the most influential person in his life, Carson shared his faith in God, saying that when all else fails, he can rely on Him to be the lamp to his feet and the light to his path. After high school. Carson plans to attend Texas A&M University. His advice to underclassmen: "Success is defined by how you respond to adversity and push yourself to grow. Those who rise above will be champions."

Kyle Recolizado
Kyle is the son of Nerissa and Robert Recolizado. Kyle is involved in Band, a member of the Jazz Band, Student Council, HOSA, and the National Honor Society. When asked about the most influential people in his life, Kyle shared that it is his mom and dad, saying he would not be where he is today without them. After high school, he plans to attend the University of Texas in Austin, where he will major in Biology on the Pre-Pharmacy track, with hopes of becoming a Clinical Pharmacist. His advice to underclassmen: "Don't get so caught up in the little things that you lose sight of the whole plot. Focus on yourself and you'll get through high school just fine."

Judson Coalson
Judson is the son of Jason and Jessica Coalson. Judson is involved in Varsity Football and Track, and is also a member of the National Honor Society and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Among his many accomplishments, he has been recognized as a 1st Team All-District Football Player and was honored in 2024 as the Big Country Blitz 4A Offensive Player of the Week. When asked about the most influential person in his life, Judson shared Colonel Craig Flowers, whom he has known since 6th grade through Air It Out Football camps. Colonel Flowers has taught him valuable life lessons that helped shape him into the person he is today. After high school, Judson plans to continue competing in either football or track at the collegiate level while majoring in Civil Engineering. His advice to underclassmen: "Make the most of your time with your friends because it goes by fast."

Tyler Nelson
Tyler is the son of Gregory and Michelle Nelson. Tyler is involved in Varsity Soccer and is also a dedicated member of the Mighty Maroon Marching Band. His achievements include being selected for Texas American Legion Boys State and earning Cum Laude Recognition. When asked about the most influential person in his life, Tyler named his older brother, Caleb, who taught him how to play soccer and learn the trumpet, and showed him that everything is possible if you put your mind to it. After high school, he plans to pursue a degree in Electrical Engineering at Tarleton State University. His advice to underclassmen: "Enjoy high school – it only happens once. Go all out and participate in every event you can."
